My point? We've seen new genres (or widely unknown genres) spring forward over the last few years, such as emo and experimental music. What about those styles that take a little from column A and the rest of the alphabet? What of those styles who's music shares ambience, rock, funk, and blues all in one sitting with lyrical passages speaking of real world occurrences both from the personal and outside view?
Enter Analytical Ambiguity. Music that is filled with both heart and skill, made for the general people and musicians alike who seek a bit more. You may ask what is obsession with the term "Ambiguous?" I grew up (and to this day still am) being of obvious mixed races. People would literally walk up to me and just plainly ask, "What are you?" as if I was a breed of mutt or something. It gave me both an identity I could be proud of, since Americans praise their own individuality, but also left me feeling never quite fitting in. Realizing that my music followed my racial identity I adopted the term "Ambiguous." It has followed me ever since.
With these blogs I hope to be able to keep people's interest and speak to many about different topics as well as my own musical progress. At the current moment in time I'm recording an Album of 13 tracks all mixed and mastered by me with guess musicians like my good friend Basserius (www.myspace.com/basseriussounds) I plan on writing here at least every week most likely on Thursdays e.s.t.
If you have any questions or comments leave them. Thanks.
